We’re delighted that two new members joined the team here at Computerology in recent weeks: Ciaran and Jackey. Between them, they have a wealth of knowledge and experience in a range of areas, so it’s great to have them on board!
Here, they tell us who they are and why they joined Computerology…
I worked in the construction industry for over 10 years before making the transition to working in IT. In 2015, I applied for an IT support specialist traineeship in Baldoyle DDLETB (Dublin and Dun Laoghaire Education and Training Board). I am currently on a six-week work placement as part of the course. I am grateful to Raj at Computerology for giving me the opportunity to gain plenty of experience.
I was originally attracted to Computerology because of the wide variety of IT work we do here. It means you need to use a lot of different skills on a daily basis. I have already learned a lot and gained so much experience, and I’ve only been here four weeks!
I came from Malaysia to Ireland to attend secondary school in 2006. I went on to study Theoretical Physics in Trinity College for three years and decided to transfer to Engineering. I’m currently studying Computer and Electronic Engineering and I’m in my final year. I have always been passionate about technologies, especially computers and the convenience they bring to our daily lives.
I have over 10 years’ experience in web design, website implementation, graphic design, online marketing, IT support and computer networking.
Computerology initially attracted me because the areas of practice it covers closely match my interest in IT, as well as my past experiences. I have enjoyed the hands-on experiences I’ve gained in solving IT problems for Computerology, while working within its comfortable environment.
Welcome aboard guys!
